Development
Board (HDB)
is a common
feature of Singapore
real estate
listings in
Singapore with
more than 80%
of Singaporeans
living in public
housing. HDB
apartments (more
commonly referred
to as “flats”)
are located
in self-contained
residential
projects with
polyclinics,
schools, supermarkets,
food and shopping

outlets, bus interchanges
and train stations as
well as sports and recreational
facilities. Purchases
of HDB flats are restricted
to Singaporeans and
Permanent Residents.
